Is your house haunted? Should you pay ghost hunters to investigate?

Written by Lynn

If you believe your house is haunted, you should think carefully about who you want to bring in to investigate the possible haunting. Here are few things to keep in mind.

Some people believe you should never pay to have a ghost researcher come to your home or business to investigate. However, even though I'm often skeptical about paranormal talents, I believe an objective researcher shouldn't be expected to work for free. I believe there are lots of charlatans practicing ghost research, but using a true paranormal investigator is no different than hiring any other kind of investigator. You shouldn't expect something for nothing.

It's never really okay to expect these people to take the time out of their lives to do a thorough investigation of your home and not offer something in return.

Because of that, you should always decide if you're willing to pay before you ask someone to come investigate. That way, if they do ask for payment for their "ghostly stakeout" (paranormal investigation), you will have already thought through the issue.
